Our dedicated Move Coordinators are here to manage every aspect of your Knightsbridge move with complete peace of mind.
Knightsbridge has long been one of London’s most coveted addresses, set between Hyde Park, Belgravia, and the King’s Road. From the red-brick mansion blocks along Sloane Street and Brompton Road to the white townhouses of Hans Place and the apartments at One Hyde Park, the area is home to the principals, families, and household offices we are privileged to serve. Our team of experienced Relocation Specialists brings the discretion and precision these homes require, overseeing every detail of your move from first conversation to final placement.
To begin your Knightsbridge move, simply reach out to arrange a consultation with one of our qualified assessors. They will review your property and your requirements and provide a comprehensive proposal. Assessments can be conducted at your residence or via virtual consultation, whichever best suits your circumstances. We will then guide you through each stage, including Cadogan Estate access protocols, RBKC and Westminster parking permissions, and any onward documentation required for international delivery.

Every Knightsbridge move is different, and our service is designed to reflect that. With our comprehensive shipping options, experienced Coordinators, and trusted global partners, each relocation is thoughtfully designed around your home, your contents, and your preferred timeline.
Our clients in Knightsbridge most often move to one of three destinations.
Some are relocating internationally, whether to Monaco, the south of France, Switzerland, Singapore, or across the Atlantic to New York, Los Angeles, or Dallas.
Others are consolidating their London residence with a country home in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, or the West Country.
A third group is moving to another prime London postcode such as Belgravia, Mayfair, Chelsea, Holland Park, or Notting Hill.
Whichever of these describes your move, our Relocation Specialists bring the experience and care to see it through seamlessly. Discretion is woven through everything we do, and every enquiry is handled on that basis from the initial consultation to the final delivery.
Discretion, precision, and a single point of accountability are the principles a Williams and Yates move is built around. Your Move Coordinator oversees the entire process personally, from the first conversation to the final placement, and remains your direct contact throughout, supported by our in-house crews, climate-controlled storage, and a trusted network of international partners.
Your Knightsbridge move begins with a private, in-home survey conducted by a senior member of our team. Every detail is considered: access, inventory, specialist handling, scheduling, and any liaison required with the Cadogan Estate, building concierge, or your receiving property. From there, your Coordinator handles the practical arrangements on your behalf, RBKC or Westminster parking suspensions depending on the precise location of the property, estate office approvals where your property forms part of the Cadogan or Grosvenor Estates, and any third-party coordination, with the full plan shared with you in advance.
The packing of your Knightsbridge home is carried out by our own in-house crews, working to the standards our clients expect for properties of this calibre. Fine art, antiques, and commissioned pieces are crated to each item’s dimensions in your home, with formal condition reporting where the value or nature of a piece requires it. Our fleet includes climate-controlled vehicles for specialist items, and our London storage facility provides secure, climate-controlled, and fully inventoried holding.
At the receiving end, our crews unpack and place each piece to the specification agreed with you, your household manager, private assistant, or interior designer. All packaging is removed, the property is left as requested, and the move closes with a final review to confirm every detail has been handled as it should.

Few central London addresses generate the range of onward destinations that Knightsbridge does, and your Relocation Manager is here to guide each stage of that journey with precision and care. Our international partner network, combined with our in-house expertise across customs clearance, specialist packing, expedited shipping, and final placement, ensures every element of your move is handled with the attention a Knightsbridge relocation deserves.
When your next residence is overseas, whether in France, Monaco, Switzerland, Singapore, Dubai, Qatar, the USA, or Canada, we manage the complete chain: origin packing at your Knightsbridge property, sea or air freight, destination clearance, and delivery. Transfer of Residence relief is applied on entry to the receiving country where you are eligible, helping to minimise duty on your personal effects.
For those moving to a country residence in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, or the West Country, your Coordinator takes charge of both ends of the move, including any storage arrangements where a Knightsbridge residence is being retained alongside the country property. For shorter journeys to Belgravia, Mayfair, Chelsea, or Holland Park, the planning is no less considered. Moves between listed and conservation area homes in central London call for the same attention to detail as any international relocation.
Knightsbridge straddles the boundary between the City of Westminster and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, with the bulk of its residential properties falling under RBKC. Much of the area sits within the Knightsbridge Conservation Area or the Hans Town Conservation Area, and a substantial portion of the residential housing forms part of the Cadogan Estate. Combined with the area’s exceptional retail and embassy presence and the daily traffic generated by Harrods and the surrounding hotels, moves from this part of London call for a thoughtful, well-prepared approach.
Parking bay suspensions are arranged in advance as a standard part of our service, with your Coordinator submitting applications to RBKC, Westminster, or both depending on the precise location of the property. The streets of Knightsbridge, Sloane Street, Brompton Road, Hans Crescent, Hans Place, and Beauchamp Place, are exceptionally busy throughout the day, with hotel coach access, retail delivery patterns, and embassy security all influencing the practical loading windows available. Our crews plan arrival times around these realities, often working early morning or late evening windows to minimise disruption to your neighbours and to your own day.
A substantial portion of Knightsbridge’s residential properties form part of the Cadogan Estate, which holds the freehold of much of the area south of Knightsbridge itself. Access and works within these properties are governed by estate office approval in addition to standard building and listed protocols, and your Move Coordinator handles the estate liaison directly. Many of the area’s most coveted homes are also lateral apartments within mansion blocks, where lift scheduling, porter coordination, and strict load-in protocols all need to be planned at the survey stage.
Knightsbridge offers a particular range of housing styles, from Georgian and Victorian townhouses to red-brick mansion blocks and the highly specified penthouses of recent developments. Two property types stand out for the specific expertise they require.
The red-brick mansion blocks of Sloane Street, Cadogan Square, Pont Street, and Brompton Road are among the most desirable residential addresses in London. Moves from these properties call for careful lift scheduling, porter and concierge coordination, and strict adherence to each building’s load-in protocols. Many of these blocks are subject to listed building consent for any structural works, and your Move Coordinator ensures all building liaison is completed in advance, with arrival windows agreed and protection of communal areas planned from the outset.
Newer developments such as One Hyde Park, The Knightsbridge, and similar buildings bring penthouse apartments and highly specified interiors to the heart of the district. These properties benefit from particularly careful coordination. Security protocols are exacting, concierge liaison is essential, and the standards expected at handover are high on both sides of the move. Your Move Coordinator handles all building liaison and scheduling, so that you and your household are not drawn into the logistics.
Working with art, antiques, and high-value items is central to what we do for Knightsbridge clients. Every significant piece leaving your home is condition reported and photographed, crated to each item’s dimensions where required, and transported in climate-controlled vehicles specified for the value and fragility of the contents they carry. Where the receiving property is not yet ready, items are held in our climate-controlled London storage facility under full security, with each piece tracked by inventory throughout.
Williams and Yates were appointed by a long-standing London resident downsizing from a four-bedroom mansion block apartment on Cadogan Square to a smaller lateral apartment within a recently completed development overlooking Hyde Park, with a significant proportion of the original residence’s contents going into long-term storage for distribution to family members over the following years.
The client managed the move directly with our Coordinator, attending the survey in person and reviewing the proposed inventory and timeline in detail across two further conversations before the move date was confirmed.
The Cadogan Square apartment sat within a listed mansion block managed by a long-serving concierge team. Our Coordinator submitted RBKC parking suspension applications and coordinated a single-day loading window with the head porter, with protection of the building’s marble entrance hall and lift coordinated in detail. The receiving development required separate security clearance for our crews, which was arranged in advance with the building’s concierge desk.
The contents fell into three groups. A core selection of furniture and personal effects accompanied the client to the new apartment, including a bookcase that required external lifting through a sash window due to the staircase dimensions. A substantial collection of portraits was placed into our climate-controlled London storage facility, with each item condition reported and individually inventoried. A third group of items was delivered directly to three family addresses across the south of England in the weeks following the move, each accompanied by our crew and a countersigned condition report.
The client noted at the close of the move that the level of coordination across the three destinations, and the patience of our crew through what was an emotional process after several decades in the same residence, had been exactly what they had hoped for.
Williams and Yates coordinate moves into Knightsbridge from across London, from country residences, and from overseas. For clients arriving from abroad, we handle the full receiving side of your move, including port clearance, Transfer of Residence relief applications where eligible, and discreet delivery to your new Knightsbridge address. Any liaison required with the Cadogan Estate, your building concierge, or your managing agent is handled by our team, and where the receiving property is undergoing works, our climate-controlled London storage facility is available throughout.
Our international relocation work is underpinned by FIDI and FAIM accreditation, two of the most rigorous standards in the industry, and our membership of the British Association of Removers reflects the same commitment to quality across our UK moves. Transit and storage insurance is comprehensive, with cover calibrated to the values typical of a Knightsbridge move, and full details are shared openly at the survey stage. Client names are never published, residences are never photographed without express permission, and confidentiality agreements are a standard condition of employment for every member of our team.
Our AccreditationsIf you are planning a move from Knightsbridge, whether to a country residence, another prime London address, or an international destination, we would be delighted to discuss the details with you, your household manager, or your private office.
