Our dedicated Move Coordinators are here to manage every aspect of your Notting Hill move with complete peace of mind.
From the stucco crescents of Ladbroke Grove to the garden squares around Pembridge and the mews homes off Portobello, Notting Hill is one of the most architecturally distinctive parts of London, and one of the most rewarding to move from when handled with care. Our team of experienced Relocation Specialists serves the families, professionals, and private principals who call the area home, overseeing every detail of your relocation from first conversation to final placement.
To begin your Notting Hill move, simply reach out to arrange a consultation with one of our qualified assessors. They will review your property and your requirements and provide a comprehensive proposal. Assessments can be conducted at your residence or via virtual consultation, whichever best suits your circumstances. We will then guide you through each stage of the move, including listed building protocols, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea parking permissions, and any onward documentation required for international delivery.
Talk to us
Every Notting Hill move is different, and our service is designed to reflect that. With our comprehensive shipping options, experienced Coordinators, and trusted global partners, each relocation is thoughtfully designed around your home, your contents, and your preferred timeline.
Our clients in Notting Hill most often move to one of three destinations.
Some are relocating internationally, whether to Monaco, the south of France, Switzerland, Singapore, or across the Atlantic to New York, Los Angeles, or Dallas.
Others are consolidating their London residence with a country home in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, or the West Country.
A third group is moving to another prime London postcode such as Chelsea, Knightsbridge, Belgravia, Holland Park, or St John’s Wood.
Whichever of these describes your move, our Relocation Specialists bring the experience and care to see it through seamlessly. Discretion is woven through everything we do, and every enquiry is handled on that basis from the initial consultation to the final delivery.
At the heart of a Williams and Yates move is a single Move Coordinator who guides the whole process on your behalf. From the first enquiry through to the final placement, you or your household manager will have one point of contact, supported by a network of in-house crews, climate-controlled storage, and trusted international partners.
Every Notting Hill move begins with an in-home survey conducted at your property by a senior member of our team. We review access, inventory, specialist handling requirements, and any coordination needed with building management, concierge, square committees, or your receiving property. Your Move Coordinator then takes care of the practical arrangements that follow, including parking bay suspensions and vehicle access requests. A full plan is shared with you well in advance.
Our in-house crews handle the packing personally; nothing is subcontracted. Fine art, antiques, and bespoke items are measured for bespoke travel crates, and condition reports are prepared where the value or delicacy of a piece warrants them. Our fleet includes climate-controlled vehicles for specialist items, and our London storage facility is available for clients who need a period of between-moves holding, with full security and inventory tracking throughout.
When your belongings arrive at the receiving property, our crews unpack and place each piece according to the specifications agreed with you, your household manager, or your interior designer. Packaging is removed, the property is left exactly as you have asked, and you are ready to settle in.

With our extensive international partner network and experienced Relocation Managers, your move from Notting Hill is designed to let you embrace the excitement of a new chapter without concern. From customs clearance and specialist packing to expedited shipping and final placement, our team supports you at every stage.
For international relocations to France, Switzerland, Singapore, Dubai, or the USA, we manage the full chain from origin packing through road, sea, or air freight to destination clearance and delivery. Where eligible, Transfer of Residence relief is applied on entry to the receiving country, helping to minimise duty on your personal effects.
For clients moving to a country residence in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, or the West Country, your Coordinator manages both ends of the move, including any overlap in storage where a London residence is being split between two homes. For moves to other prime London postcodes such as Chelsea, Knightsbridge, or Belgravia, we apply the same depth of planning as any international relocation, reflecting the intricacy of moving between listed and conservation-area properties.
Much of Notting Hill sits within the Ladbroke Conservation Area, and many individual homes are listed. Moves from this part of London benefit from a thoughtful, well-prepared approach, and our team is well acquainted with the specifics the area presents.
Notting Hill sits within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, which operates a controlled parking zone across W11 and W8. Parking bay suspensions are arranged in advance as a standard part of our service, with your Coordinator applying to the council on your behalf. For homes within or backing onto private garden squares, access for removal vehicles is arranged with the square committee or managing agent ahead of the move.
The Notting Hill Carnival takes place over the August bank holiday weekend each year, with road closures affecting the area for several days before and after. For moves planned in July, August, or early September, your Coordinator will advise on the most suitable dates and, where needed, schedule around the Carnival.
The area’s housing stock ranges from grand stucco townhouses to mews homes and mansion block apartments. Two property types stand out for the specific expertise they require.
The stucco terraces of Lansdowne Road, Elgin Crescent, Pembridge Square, and the surrounding crescents are the architectural signature of Notting Hill. Many are individually listed, rising across several storeys with basement or lower ground levels. Our team plans multi-floor removals with original features carefully protected, uses external lifting equipment where furniture cannot be moved via the stairwell, and ensures full compliance with listed building consent where applicable. Where required, we liaise directly with the freeholder, managing agent, or conservation officer on your behalf.
Apartments in Pembridge Court, Orme Court, Kensington Park Gardens, and similar buildings call for careful lift scheduling, porter coordination, and adherence to each building’s specific arrangements. Your Move Coordinator handles all building liaison directly, ensuring your move is timed around the building’s requirements with communal areas fully protected throughout.
Working with art, antiques, and high-value items is a core part of what we do. Every piece is condition reported and photographed before packing, crated to order where appropriate, and transported in climate-controlled vehicles. Where the receiving property is not yet ready to accept its contents, items are held in our climate-controlled London storage facility under full security, with each piece tracked by inventory throughout.
In Spring 2025, Williams and Yates were appointed by a family relocating from a Grade II listed stucco-fronted townhouse in W11 to a country residence in the Cotswolds, with a smaller consignment continuing onward to a property in the south of France.
The family was represented throughout by their household manager, who asked for a single point of coordination from the first survey to the final placement at both receiving addresses.
Our initial survey identified several considerations. The townhouse sat within the Ladbroke Conservation Area, and access was restricted to a controlled parking zone with no private loading bay. Our Move Coordinator applied to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for parking suspensions across two consecutive days and coordinated with neighbouring residents through the client’s household manager.
The family’s collection included a modest but significant group of paintings, alongside bespoke furniture commissioned for the property. Each piece was condition reported, photographed, and crated to order before transit. The paintings were held in our London storage facility for four weeks while the receiving property’s interior designer completed the wall treatments, before onward delivery and placement.
The onward consignment to France was managed end to end by the Williams and Yates team, with Transfer of Residence relief applied where eligible. Every item arrived in full condition, and the household manager noted that the family’s principal was able to move between properties without ever being drawn into the logistics.
Williams and Yates also coordinate moves into Notting Hill from elsewhere in London, from country residences, and from overseas. For clients arriving from abroad, we handle the full receiving side of your move, including port clearance, Transfer of Residence relief applications, and coordinated delivery to your new Notting Hill address. Where an interior designer has been engaged on the receiving property, we work to their schedule and hold items in our climate-controlled storage facility in the meantime.
Williams and Yates are FIDI and FAIM accredited, reflecting the international standards we uphold on every overseas relocation, and we hold membership of the British Association of Removers. Transit and storage insurance is calibrated to the values typical of a Notting Hill move, and we are always happy to discuss cover details at the survey stage. We do not publish client names, we do not photograph residences without express permission, and every member of our team works under a confidentiality agreement as a standard condition of employment.
Our AccreditationsIf you are planning a move from Notting Hill, whether to a country residence, another prime London address, or an international destination, we would be delighted to discuss the details with you or your household manager.
