Documentation
- Valid passport
- Employment Pass, Dependant Pass, or In-Principle Approval from Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower
- Proof of residence in Singapore (e.g., tenancy agreement or property purchase documents)
- Detailed inventory of all items being shipped
- Declaration of Facts (DOF) submitted to Singapore Customs for Goods and Services Tax (GST) relief eligibility
Duties & Taxes
- Used personal effects owned and used for at least three months prior to importation may qualify for GST relief, provided they arrive within six months of your arrival in Singapore
- New items (less than three months old) may be subject to GST and require original purchase receipts
- Alcohol, tobacco products, and motor vehicles are subject to duties and GST, regardless of age or usage
- All shipments are subject to customs inspection
